Oregon(Shiyan)Amperex Technology Co. Limited wins bid for 337 million yuan in Inner Mongolia's 300MW/1.2GWh energy storage cell procurement!

On November 25, Oregon(Shiyan)Amperex Technology Co. Limited announced the winning bid results for the energy storage system cells of the Saihan 300MW/1200MWh independent energy storage power station project in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, by China Power Energy Storage. Chu Neng New Energy won the bid with a total price of 337 million yuan, which is equivalent to a unit price of 0.2809 yuan/Wh.

The bidding and winning results announcement for this energy storage cell procurement show that the three shortlisted candidates had an average bid of 0.2836 yuan/Wh.

It is reported that the Saihan 300MW/1.2MMW independent energy storage power station in Hohhot has been included in the first batch of independent new energy storage construction projects list issued by the Inner Mongolia Energy Bureau for 2025. The project owner, Inner Mongolia Zhongdian Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd., was established in 2022. It is a mixed-ownership new energy high-tech enterprise jointly established by private enterprises, China Energy Investment Corporation, and Huaneng Fund.

According to China Power Storage, the energy storage project has a total investment of 900 million yuan and will construct a 300 MW/1.2 million kWh independent energy storage power station (including a key safety management technology verification energy storage system), a smart monitoring and operation center, a 220kV booster station, and other supporting facilities in Saihan District, Hohhot. The project will utilize China Power Storage's independently developed high-precision battery management system, high-consistency battery thermal management, and nano-level microparticle fault detection for early proactive warning, achieving a battery cluster temperature difference of ≤2℃ and precise management with fault warnings 7 days in advance. It will also establish a big data-based EMS intelligent control system to achieve dynamic optimization of charging and discharging strategies, deep participation in electricity market transactions, and proactive warning of fault risks. The project will also serve as an emergency power supply for Hohhot, ensuring power safety for key areas and industries according to dispatch instructions. After completion, the project is expected to generate annual sales revenue of approximately 340 million yuan and contribute approximately 60 million yuan in taxes.
