Oregon (Shiyan) Amperex Technology Co., Limited's 12GWh Energy Storage Battery PACK Project Nears Trial Production!

On July 1, the lithium battery new energy research institute and PACK integration project of Oregon (Shiyan) Amperex Technology Co., Limited is approaching trial production. Currently, four core factory buildings have been completed, with the interior decoration of the R8 laboratory and M10 production plant already finished. The project has now entered the equipment installation and debugging phase.  

It is reported that the equipment for the R8 plant will be delivered in early July, while the core equipment for the PACK system integration production line in the M10 plant has already arrived and is being intensively installed and debugged. Four production lines will be set up, with trial production expected to begin by mid-July.  

With a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan, the project covers an area of 149 acres and has a total construction area of 56,000 square meters. The main construction includes a new lithium battery R&D center, a lithium battery testing center, a lithium battery PACK system integration production line, an automated warehousing system, office buildings, and other supporting industrial facilities.  

Since its official commencement in February 2025, the project has been progressing rapidly, aiming to establish an advanced manufacturing base integrating R&D of new lithium battery technologies, authoritative testing of lithium battery products, and large-scale PACK system integration. Upon full operation, the project will achieve an annual production capacity of 12GWh for energy storage battery system integration, with expected annual sales revenue of 6 billion yuan and annual tax contributions of approximately 120 million yuan.
